So thankful.

The fourteen of us have already been so very blessed by this opportunity to serve. I believe I speak for the whole team when I say that we are experiencing a number of emotions as we pull up to the last few days in the States--happy, excited, scared, anxious, overwhelmed, joyful, thankful, humbled, ecstatic... Just to name a few.

We have been given the opportunity to travel to the southeast coast of India with Habitat for Humanity and will be working in the Global Village program assisting in building a home or homes. At this point, we are still not sure of our exact duties while in the country, but you will know more as we do.

Our trip dates are June 3rd-12th, 2011. We will arrive in India on the 5th at a very early hour... :)

As far as updates are concerned, this is the way that we plan to send them out. A blog was decided upon due to its availability to anyone who simply clicks a link or types in "India Team 2011." Please feel more than welcome to share our blog with your friends and family as we'd love to have as much support as possible. We have been so blessed by many of you already in prayer, encouragement, love and financial means. We cannot begin to express our gratitude for your helping hands that have made this trip possible. You all are as much a part of this team as any of us-- Paula has said it from the beginning: "We are NOTHING without our home team!"

I plan to post the names of our traveling team before we leave for those of you who would like to pray by name for the members of this team that will be overseas. Again, your love and support is so precious to us.
